… use the voice control app (on newer 3GS iPhones) for hands free operation of a few features including dialing (if you have an older iPhone, try Melodis Dialer instead)

… use the headset and double-click the headset clicker to redial

… get the iPhone 3GS or later – the previous devices were not fully baked

… spend some time getting a few cool Apps that HELP YOU to actually get something done and avoid the time wasting apps that distract you from your goals

… try turning the iPhone sideways to type an email or text message – the keypad expands to fit the width of the screen and can be a better experience for those of use with larger fingertips.

… try not to drop your iPhone (get a case if it is too slippery for you)

… don’t spill liquids onto it and don’t drop it into a liquid unless you wish to buy a new one
